The "Walk With Me" Program

Wheeler’s flagship LGBTQIA+ initiative, Walk With Me, is a specialized outpatient track available to individuals of all ages, their families, and allies. This program connects patients with a dedicated team of professionals who specialize in LGBTQIA+ responsive care. Designed to reduce isolation and foster resilience, Walk With Me provides a safe harbor for patients at every stage of their health journey.

Specialized LGBTQIA+ Services

• Gender-Responsive Care: Respectful, medical-led hormone therapy for adults (18+).
• Behavioral Health & Support: Individual, family, and group therapy, including AFFIRM—an evidence-based program to build coping skills and reduce stress for LGBTQIA+ adults.
• Preventative Medicine: Comprehensive HIV prevention (PrEP and PEP) and confidential screenings for HIV and Hepatitis C.
